"Jesus never said 'Please'?"

I see no record of Jesus every saying 'Please'.

Wow. Have you ever thought about this?

So does Jesus just give commands?

Hmm.

Let's look at the life of Peter, one of the several disciples that Jesus called at the beginning.

Peter apparently had a wife at the time, for Peter had a mother-in-law.

But when Jesus called Peter into the ministry, I don't remember Jesus saying,

"Peter, go home and ask your wife for permission to tag along with me."

And when Jesus told Peter how Peter was going to die, I don't recall Jesus giving

Peter the option. This was part of Peter's destiny as a believer.

To not go along with this would have been spiritual rebellion against God.
